This is an original stained glass mosaic mural for the beautiful new Sam Yellen Park in the City of Palmdale, CA.

The first panel depicts the wild landscape of the region with native flora and fauna. The area is famed for its joshua trees and one is featured here with dazzling colors and gold colored chips. They look like fireworks frozen in plant.

The second panel depicts the human world of Sam Yellen Park with a futsol game, dog park, gardens, trees, benches, paths and a playground. It also features poetry in the walkway shown in both Spanish and English. Both panels share gorgeous multicolored hills and richly hued skies.

This project was commissioned by the City of Palmdale.
